Meghan Elliott to present at the 62nd annual Concrete Conference at the University of Minnesota
Meghan Elliott will be presenting the keynote address at the 62nd Annual Concrete Conference at the University of Minnesota. Her presentation will be about the “History of Reinforced Concrete in the Twin Cities:”
As early as 1899, Minnesota had been recognized as a leader in reinforced concrete engineering and construction. The Twin Cities is home to numerous patents, local and national landmarks, and notable buildings. This presentation describes the highlights of our reinforced concrete history through examples of structures, inspiring stories, and the colorful personalities of the industry over the last century.
This year’s Concrete Conference will be held on Thursday, December 6, 2012 at the Continuing Education and Conference Center on the St. Paul Campus of the University of Minnesota. The conference is sponsored by the College of Continuing Education, the Department of Civil Engineering, and the College of Science and Engineering at the University of Minnesota.
