Minneapolis History Wall Opens in New Wells Fargo Towers

The new skyways in Downtown East, that will eventually connect the core of downtown to U.S. Bank Stadium opened this week, and feature a series of floor-to-ceiling photographs of Minneapolis cityscape from the late 1800s to present. PVN worked with Ryan Companies to locate and produce these photographs for the skyway series.

In a recent article in the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal, reporter Sam Black describes the project:

"There were a handful of curious gawkers walking through the first tower on Tuesday, closely inspecting a series of floor-to-ceiling, black-and-white photographs on the skyway level. The photos are of downtown Minneapolis' evolution through the first half of the 20th Century."

In addition to this great new walking tour, the exterior of the Wells Fargo towers feature the medallions from the former Star Tribune building, which PVN documented prior to demolition. It's worth the trip.
